@Seggan I don't think it does; OP isn't asking about using the return type as a prefix, they're asking about having no prefix at all, which is much different.
Welcome to PLDI! One thing worth noting is that the things you hear about Rust regarding safety are typically relative to lower level languages like C/C++. Nim is likely to be similar in how safe it is (I don't know much about it tho).
